Leelanau: Looking Ahead, Speaker Series.

Northern Hardwoods: The Future of Our Forested Landscape.

The third of a four-part speaker series, this free event features keynote speaker, Jon Fosgitt of Compass Land Consultants. Mr. Fosgitt presents an overview of Northern Hardwoods, including a history of the landscape, forest complexity, ecosystem management and current trends in Great Lakes forests.

A panel discussion follows, with local forest experts, including Kama Ross, Leelanau Conservation District Forester; Eric Ellis, Biologist and Wild Link Program Manager; and Kevin Skerl, Natural Resources Chief from the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
