Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra Holds Day for Music in Charlevoix

The 5th Annual 1-day string workshop is for string players of all ages and abilities who play violin, viola, cello or string bass.

Guest instructors, Carlos Botero, from Michigan State University, and Steven Leonard, Interlochen Arts Academy violin instructor, rehearse with students throughout the day. Begin the day at 10am with rehearsals and sectionals and end the day with a 3pm side-by-side performance with members of the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra.

This performance is open to the public and free of charge. This workshop serves as a partnership with the Crooked Tree Arts Center Youth Orchestra and Beginning Strings program, private string teachers and home school families.

“Charlevoix the Beautiful” is about an hour north of Traverse City on U.S. 31.
