Two programs, half an hour each: Tragedy in the Straits: The 50th Anniversary of the
Sinking of the Cedarville May 7th, 1965, the Cedarville was approaching the Mackinac Bridge when out of the dense fog came the bow of the Norwegian freighter, Topdalsfjord.
The Cedarville was struck her at midship. Her captain tried to make it to shore, but she rolled over and sank, taking ten of her crew with her. Along with underwater footage the program includes accounts of her sinking as told by the survivors and rescuer Peter Hahn of the German Freighter, Weissenburg and musical tribute by Dan Hall.
