Funday Sunday at Great Lakes Children’s Museum is held alternate Sundays from Jan.-Apr. Sessions begin at 1:30pm and 2:30pm. Activities are appropriate for children 2 and up; however, children 6 and under may need adult help to complete the activity.
April 13: Gyotaku – Make your own fish flags using paint, fabric, and some familiar fish models in this traditional art form from Japan. Melissa Johnson presents.
April 27: Instrument Petting Zoo – Presenter Tom Kaufmann brings a unique hands-on experience to the art of music. Blow a horn, bow a violin, and try out some more unusual instruments like a theremin!
The purpose of Funday Sunday is to engage multi-aged family groups in a special shared art or cultural activity on a wintry Sunday afternoon.
