Kimberly’s painting curriculum is designed for adults with strong drawing skills and basic color mixing knowledge. It especially appeals to artists wishing for a way to loosen up and those wanting to expand color mixing knowledge. This multi-day workshop focuses on painting elements, including a half-day demonstration (with slides) and multiple exercises designed to improve the students’ understanding of color and value while building confidence and gestural brushwork.
Kimberly Santini was hooked on art from the moment she discovered the power of a line and pushed her to pursue a knowledge of arts her entire life. She holds a B.F.A. in Painting and a B.A. in Art History, and has worked for the likes of the J. Paul Getty Trust and a fine art auction house.
Kimberly prefers to pare her subject matter down to the bare essentials – personality, attitude, and bold color. These elements helped to make her work proud focal points in homes and corporate collections around the world.
Art is woven into the fabric of Kimberly’s everyday life; when not in the studio or working on her Painting A Dog A Day blog, she teaches art journaling or painting workshops, mentors beginning artists, or advocates for the arts within her community as the Director of the Canine Art Guild. www.turtledovedesigns.com
