As a teenager, Rachel B studied Classical Voice at Interlochen Arts Academy, but always wanted to bend the notes and break the rules with her own original music. Rachel B is paving her way as a timeless entertainer with her smoky undertone, sassy delivery, and catchy melodies.

When in California, Rachel B had her songs placed on ABC shows such as General Hospital and in various independent films. Along the way, she received the prestigious Johnny Mercer Songwriting award, as well as Berklee’s Women’s Composer Award. She has performed live broadcasts for NPR and participated as a Singer in the Martin Luther King Music Workshop program. Ms. Rachel B has performed at venues across the country such as Chicago Symphony Hall, Berklee Performance Center, South Park Amphitheater, Flood City Music Festival, Traverse City Opera House, and Kresge Auditorium, to name a few. Often noted as being a sassy version of Norah Jones and a softer Amy Winehouse, with some rawness of Janis Joplin, this up and coming starlet will reel you in and leave you wanting more.

Find Your Park Concert Series at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore The National Park Service turns 100 this year. Join in the celebration with a concert in the park this summer and find your park through music. Park rangers, campers, and visitors will have a toe-tapping musical evening at Platte River or DH Day Campground amphitheaters. These performances are not limited to campers. All visitors need only purchase the Park Entrance Pass or have an Annual Pass displayed in their vehicle to join in the free fun.

Because of limited parking at DH Day Campground, visitors who are not camping will be asked to park in Glen Haven and hike or bike to the D. H. Day Campground amphitheater via the Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail.
