Environmental and outdoor educators, classroom teachers, natural resource professionals, and others will share their tips and techniques for connecting students and communities to their environment at the 22nd annual Michigan Alliance for Environmental and Outdoor Education (MAEOE) conference set for Friday-Sunday, October 8-10, 2010, at the University of Michigan Biological Station, 20 miles south of the Mackinac Bridge. This year’s conference theme is “Engaging Students in Science & Stewardship.” A wide variety of sessions will be presented, ranging from ‘Wild About Elk,’ to stream monitoring, amphibian surveys, ethnobotany, Great Lakes stewardship programs, and more!
