You may have noticed little Elf doors popping up around Traverse City; already they have been seen at The Little Fleet, The Cooks’ House, Higher Grounds Trading Co., Green Island and Oryana, with more expected to appear in the coming weeks.

On Sunday, November 2, 1-5pm, Elf – eat learn frolic, a family-friendly café and play space slated to open in Slabtown next June, is hosting a family-friendly event. The event begins at 1pm with a treasure hunt, where families can travel to each of the Elf door locations collecting stickers and other rewards at each stop. Each location will have a treasure map to guide the search; there is no set starting place and no requirement to visit each door location.

At 3pm, everyone is welcome to gather at The State Theatre for treats and prize giveaways, followed by the movie Epic at 3:30pm. The free screening of this child-friendly movie has a lovely woodland elf theme. Everyone is welcome to attend the movie, whether or not you have joined in the treasure hunt portion of the event.

Bring the family, it’s free!
