Revolution Bike in Charlevoix is pleased introduce the 7th Annual Dogman Challenge Fat Bike Race! The Dogman Challenge is a 2 hour winter endurance event held entirely on the multi-use trails around Mt. McSauba Recreation Area and North Point Nature Preserve in Charlevoix, MI.
We are excited to announce that the Dogman is the third race in the 2019 Short’s Brewing Fat Bike Race Series. The series includes the Fat Chance at Crystal Mountain, King Vasa in Traverse City, the Dogman at Mt Mc Sauba, and The Beard of Zeus at Timber Ridge.
The course consists of a fast and challenging 2 mile loop along the lake shore and through rolling and wooded terrain. The riders to complete the most laps in 2 hours are the champions and will receive cash prizes and metals. Cash prizes and metals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in both the Men and Women’s Open and Master 45+ divisions.
The 2019 event is slated for February 23rd with a mass start at noon on top of the bunny hill at Mt McSauba. Online entry will open soon and the cost is just $50. The race will be capped at 100 riders, so be sure to register early before it fills.
Awards Ceremony to follow at 4:00pm – stay tune, the location of the after party to be determined. Come down on Saturday from 4pm-6pm to support the riders and join in the fun.
Riders, need to kill some time and clean up following the race? The Charlevoix Area Community Pool invites Dogman participants to stop in, shower and warm up before the After Party. The hot tub and pool will be available between 2 and 3pm. Showers will be available until 3:30pm. Pool vouchers will be provided to participants upon registration.
