See the premiere of “Fascinating History Between the Lakes: How Interlochen Came to Be” at the new Interlochen Public Library on Friday, January 11 at 7 p.m. The free documentary will be shown in the library’s Community Room. More than 1,000 people came out to get the first look at the new library and community center on December 5. If you haven’t seen it yet, this event is a great opportunity.

About the documentary: Ten thousand years ago, the last ice age carved out two lakes with a narrow strip of land between. Interlochen resident Dave Pennington walks through the history of the people who have lived between these lakes and how the word “Interlochen” became known around the world.

Popcorn and cookies will be served!
