This new, 210-mile bike race on gravel roads and two-tracks takes riders from Michigan’s eastern shore on Saginaw Bay to the west side in Ludington, with a finish at Stearns Park where racers touch Lake Michigan to end their journey.
The race starts on the true sunrise shore of Lake Huron at the small, family-owned Point Au Gres Marina. Complete with (mini) lighthouse, Atlantic Coast feel, and actual sunrise over the big lake. The 210-mile races will truly dip their back tire in Lake Huron at the start and front tire in Lake Michigan at the finish.
There’s also a 100-mile race. Register online and find more information.
