On Monday, Nov. 12, we will be holding a roundtable discussion on the local clean energy economy in Traverse City and across the state. The roundtable discussion will be held at Traverse City Light & Power. Panelists will talk about the impact of the 100% by 2040 community wide renewable energy goal that was approved in August. Also, being the observed day for Veterans Day, we will also have representatives from Northwest Michigan College to talk about the demand for skilled workers for clean energy jobs and how the clean energy industry employs a significant amount of veterans. The roundtable will take place from 11 a.m. to around noon. Lunch will be provided.
This event would provide some more color around the renewable energy goal and delve into other topics around the local clean energy sector.
