Music House Museum will be presenting the final film of the 2013 season, “It’ staring Clara Bow with Stephan Warner on the Wurlitzer on Saturday Nov. 30th. In this 1927 romantic comedy, the beautiful Clara Bow plays a shop girl who has set her sights on the handsome store owner.  After finally getting his attention, her plans are threatened by an erroneous newspaper story depicting her as an unwed mother.  The ‘it’ in the title refers to Bow’s amazing beauty and talent.  Film goers cannot take their eyes off the much under-rated actress.  Combine this talent with the gifted organist, Stephen Warner, and it is not-to-be-missed movie experience!

We love it when our hometown ‘boy’ comes back to share his immense talent with us! Stephen Warner is the organist at Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church in Detroit and a staff organist at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor. He grew up in Traverse City, Michigan, where he studied piano from age seven and participated in almost every facet of the Traverse City Public Schools music program. Mr. Warner has dual bachelor’s degree in organ performance and in mechanical engineering at the University of Michigan. There, he had the opportunity to play the organ with many of the bands, orchestras and choirs, including the U of M Men’s Glee Club, which he was a member for 6 years. He studied organ primarily with Dr. James Kibbie and piano with Dr. Louis Nagel.

There are two showings at 5:30 and 7:30 PM.  Tickets are $15 for Adults, $13 for Seniors and $5 for kids 18 and under.  They can be purchased at MyNorthTickets.com or from our website, musichouse.org.
