The second half features a segment of Blues Music including “Blues In the Night,” “Birth of the Blues” and “Basin Street Blues” concluding with their signature segment of American standards including “Mood Indigo,” The Shadow of Your Smile,” and “It Don’t Mean a Thing.”
Throughout CABARET 2014 several outstanding soloists will step into the spotlight and share what they do best. The voices of Karen Remington, Dick Hahn, Andy Mollema, Ginny Freeman, Dave Johnson, well known to Cabaret audiences as well as around the globe, will be joined this year by Stan Otto, Dinah Haag, and Andrew Wolowiec (in the reincarnation of Elvis).
For over 30 years the 40+ voices that make up the Benzie Community Choir have been entertaining both domestically and abroad with their unique style and sound. Highlights include five tours abroad in England and Europe including the Notre Dame Cathedral.
Recognizing the importance of making sure a place like City Opera House does not become a thing of the past, BCC members asked if they might do their part in assuring the City Opera House lives forever. City Opera House welcomes this special performance and truly appreciates the efforts from Benzie County Community Chorus for this generous gift.
