Beginning September 26, Doug Mantha, C.S. Lewis Festival Board President will facilitate an informal discussion group called “Just an Inkling Pub Nights” at Beards Brewery located at 215 East lake Street in downtown Petoskey. Gatherings begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights, from September 26 through October 24, and will feature readings, discussions, and light-hearted debates of works by C.S. Lewis and others.

These pub nights will feature discussion on poetry related to the 2018 C.S. Lewis Festival theme “C.S. Lewis in Music and Poetry: The Divine Comedy.” Bring your original poetry or one of Lewis’ poems or another poem that speaks to you on this theme. Accompanied students are welcome to participate. All are welcome. There is no cost to participate.

Inspiration for “Just an Inkling” derives from the original Inklings, a literary group that met at Oxford in the early to mid-twentieth century. Lewis regularly attended the meetings, where participants read their work while it was still in development.

“Just an Inkling” is part of the area-wide C.S. Lewis Festival, an annual celebration of the life and works of the man who created Narnia. For more information, visit www.cslewisfestival.org
