Boyne City Sidewalk Sales — August 10-11
Nearly every downtown Boyne City retailer is offering big discounts during the Boyne Area Chamber’s annual Sidewalk Sales event, taking place Friday and Saturday, August 10th and 11. Sidewalk Sales will run rain or shine, and most stores will be open Friday night during Stroll the Streets. Some restaurants are getting involved this year, offering discounted merchandise and also food and drink specials for shoppers who need a break.
The Boyne Area Chamber coordinates Sidewalk Sales each year as a way to showcase the downtown retail scene in Boyne City, as well as to help merchants prepare their stores for new fall inventory. “This year, we have 26 merchants participating, which is more than last year,” said Executive Director, Ashley Cousens. “Plus, we have new businesses participating as well. It’s a great time to check out the new faces of our downtown while also visiting your favorite locations.”
Shoppers can expect great summer clearance deals from places like 52 Weekends, inspired living, and Mary’s of Boyne. There will be specials on essentials like haircuts and chocolate, and the Friends of the Library will host their annual Book Sale in the Community Room of the Library. Both hardware stores will have closeout deals on summer items and tools. Some stores are even offering huge storewide discounts, not just on select items!
As if Sidewalk Sales weren’t enough, the town will be busy with two other events during the same weekend. The 44th Annual Antique Auto Show and Flea Market takes place in Veterans Park on Saturday and Sunday, August 11 and 12, and the brand new Boyne City Pirate Festival will be happening all weekend, August 9 through 12.
All three events will make Boyne City the place to be this weekend. For more information on Sidewalk Sales or the Antique Auto Show, visit the Chamber’s website at www.boynechamber.com or call 231-582-6222. For more information on Pirate Festival, visit www.boynecitypiratefest.com.
