The Great Lakes Children’s Museum presents its 2nd annual Anchor Ball fundraiser on Saturday, February 27th, to support the hands-on, play-based learning opportunities offered at the Museum. This year’s glamorous evening includes fantastic dining, dancing, dueling pianos and donating!
Please come out for a night of FUN with the Museum Trustees and the original Dueling Pianos International Comedy Show! You can register via the Great Lakes Children’s Museum’s website at www.greatlakeskids.com, or by visiting “upcoming events” on their Facebook page.
The Anchor Ball will feature an exclusive raffle; the prize package again graciously donated by The Franklin restaurant. The package is a certificate including food, tax and gratuity for a table of 8 people on the deck of The Franklin in downtown Traverse City during the Junior Royal Parade!
There are prize boxes to bid on, generously donated from Wuerfel Park and Yen Yoga, and guests will have the option to support hands-on learning specific to programs or exhibits in the Museum via the “Wish Wall!”
There will be a children’s art contest, open to any school aged child. Judging of the displayed art, done by the event attendees, will end at 9:00 pm, and the winner will be announced. There are two age categories- Under 10 years old and Over 10 years old- each with an awesome prize of a $50 gift certificate to Brilliant Books in Traverse City!
Proceeds from this special event will help support the long term, strategic vision of the Great Lakes Children’s Museum- and allow it to continue to provide the free and discounted admissions given to some of our community members who need it most -our military, at-risk and lower income families.
