6th Annual Summer Super Swirl at Crooked Tree Arts Center
On Wednesday, August 29, join Crooked Tree Arts Center for their sixth annual Summer Super Swirl. In partnership with D & W Fresh Market, the Summer Super Swirl takes place from 5:30 – 8 p.m., with activities, food, drink, and music occurring throughout the Arts Center.
While enjoying fine wines, Michigan craft beers, savory appetizers, and sweet treats, attendees will take in CTAC’s new exhibits, “Woven Together: The Fiber Work of Sherri Smith” and “Woven Together: Beyond the Influence of Sherri Smith,” and enjoy a last look at the Kitchen Painters’ show, “Northern Michigan: Living It, Loving It!”
The Summer Super Swirl includes live performances by local musicians: The Real Ingredients, Jeff Pagel, Chris Koury, Sky & Signal, and The North Carolines.
Artist demos will take place during the event, as well as a “Little Gems” silent auction of original 6×6 paintings. Those bidding on the silent auction items need not be present to win. Winning bidders will be notified the following day.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the Summer Super Swirl, with food and music going until 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 the day of Swirl. Advanced purchase is encouraged, as tickets are subject to availability. This event is for individuals 21 years and up.
