The Lake View Hotel is the oldest continuously operated hotel on Mackinac Island, built by Reuben Chapman in 1858. A renovation resulted in new guest rooms, banquet and conference facilities, two restaurants and a four-story atrium holding an indoor, heated swimming pool. The Mackinac Island hotel features a Victorian-style atmosphere and is located on Main Street, directly across from where the Mackinac Island ferries arrive. In addition to standard rooms—some with air conditioning, some without—the Lake View Hotel offers a spa room, lake view rooms, a turret room and a presidential suite.
