Open now, Terrain restaurant is a full-service restaurant and bar serving honest yet ambitious contemporary American food, with a focus toward local ingredients and flavors. We are looking forward to celebrating the flavors of this beautiful area we have lived and worked in and offering a welcoming place to enjoy with our friends and neighbors.
Chef Randy Minish began his restaurant career nearly 15 years ago at Lulu’s, going on to work as a Sous Chef at Moka, then spent several years in Detroit and San Francisco gaining further experience in ingredient-driven high-volume restaurants. When he decided his next step should be opening his own restaurant, he knew he wanted it to be back here in his home of Northern Michigan. After working with several other local restaurants, this project is a dream come true.
Rounding out Terrain's team are Randy's two sisters, Co-Owner Shana Minish who handles all the fun paperwork and numbers, and Jenna Minish who is the General Manager handling all the day-to-day excitement.
