System Director Talent Acquisition

GENERAL SUMMARY

The System Director of Talent Acquisition will set the direction and strategy for the Talent Acquisition & Regional Staffing functions to support the hiring demands of the organization while driving standardization and innovation through the Center of Excellence. The position will lead the development of strategy, initiatives, and approach to talent acquisition. The role will lead a team of direct and indirect reports responsible for recruitment, onboarding, and regional staffing. They will lead a highly dynamic team of professionals who support these key areas. The position will drive continuous innovation leveraging analytics and market insights to modify strategies as needed. The role will work closely with other leaders on initiatives that support the recruitment and retention of the workforce.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare, or related field. Candidate with a Bachelor's Degree and experience leading a healthcare talent acquisition function may be considered in lieu of Master's degree.

  • 10 years of progressive talent acquisition leadership expertise at a Manager level or higher within a large matrixed healthcare system is required.

  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred.

  • Proven track record of success in engaging, motivating and developing a high-performance talent acquisition team

  • Demonstrated leadership in change management

  • Exceptional Analytical skills

  • Expertise in developing, implementing and executing creative recruitment strategies and process efficiencies to achieve Talent Acquisition delivery excellence

  • High competencies in Business Acumen, Impact and Influence, System Thinking and Trusted advisor and strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated effective leadership and an exceptional relationship builder

    ORGANIZATION

    Reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer, Munson Healthcare. Responsible for a team of direct and indirect reports.

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the mission of Munson Healthcare.

  • Embraces and supports Munson's True North.

  • Optimize, develop and implement innovative and sustainable talent acquisition and regional staffing office programs, processes, systems and best practices.

  • Be integral in creating a shared service/COE Talent function to manage the vacancy rate by utilizing metrics (volume of positions, time-to-fill, source of hires, cost per hire, reasons for vacancies and reasons for un-filled vacancies, etc.).

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends, labor laws, and legislative initiatives that have short- and long-term implications on the profitability of the business.

  • Select, appoint, and manage third party vendors; manage supplier relationships; and ensure vendor performance metrics are appropriate and monitored.

  • Develop a Talent Acquisition scorecard and take responsibility for the results of all talent acquisition objectives

  • Forge partnerships to develop successful and innovative Talent Acquisition programs, best practices, processes and systems to standardize and elevate the entire Talent Acquisition function throughout all of Munson Healthcare

  • Provide direction and strategy to the sourcing function to build pipelines for high volume and hard to fill roles, reduce time to fill and enhance the candidate experience.

  • Develop positive relationships with key leaders to align all facets of Talent Acquisition with the various business needs and goals throughout the entire organization. Assess, recommend and implement effective changes to process, systems, optimizing resources and improving efficiencies.

  • Develop and foster exceptional relationships within the various communities which Munson Healthcare serves to enhance the diversity and inclusion pipeline.

  • Expand upon and utilize social media venues (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to ensure a positive employer brand and to conduct ongoing outreach to qualified and passive candidates.

  • Demonstrate leadership and competencies through ongoing written and verbal communication, listening and follow-up and development of staff and the talent acquisition function. Leading by example and leading through influence will be key to this individual's success.

  • Maximize and leverage existing and new technology that supports the recruitment, onboarding, student placement, and regional staffing functions.

  • Aid in the development of workforce planning strategies and initiatives, in collaboration with other HR leaders throughout the organization

  • As a member of the HR Senior Leadership team, plan and execute special projects and HR communications that support system integration and the achievement of long-term strategic goals.

  • Analyze business unit data and external industry trends to design best in class recruitment programs/strategy development; consult with senior leaders across the organization and present solutions to improve recruiting effectiveness. Influence and gain commitment on new initiatives to drive greater impact. Identify and report on trends that could impact the organization objectives.
