Sr Systems Analyst- Cerner Core Team-REMOTE

This position has the ability to work remote.

POSITION SUMMARY A Senior Systems Analyst works under general direction having an overall broad depth of hospital and information systems technology. A person in this position can conduct a business requirement reviews, includes business and user needs, documents requirements, formulates business requirements, generates systems scope and objectives for complex information systems, makes suggestions for workflow and process improvements, modifies, tests and implements 3rd party software or creates programmatic/scripted solutions, leads small to mid-size teams on mid-size to large projects (80 - 120 hrs) involving more-complex systems with moderate integration. Fully documents requirements, testing, code/script, processes and workflow. A Senior Systems Analyst in this position is expected to guide and advise less experienced analysts. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Experience/Education

  • Must have one of the following (required):

  • Associate's degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis) with 4 years' relevant experience (IS/Business or healthcare)

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably IS/Business or healthcare emphasis) with 2 years relevant experience (IS/Business or healthcare)

  • 6 years in healthcare or IS/Business experience

  • Experience in healthcare beneficial

    Cerner Core Systems Analyst Job Requirements:

    Experience implementing and maintaining Cerner Core services in a multi-facility environment with knowledge of the various Cerner Core components including, but not limited to:

  • Alias pools and aliases

  • Organizations, Locations, Practice Sites, Client Billing

  • Event Set Hierarchy management, coreeventmangaer. exe as well as event code and event set uploads

  • Cerner security - Position, Application group, Tasks, Preference, Privilege, Relationships Bedrock Security

  • Inbox/Message Center, pools, pool rules

  • PowerChart, patient list, provider groups

  • User access management, chart access, personnel groups, personnel upload

  • Physician/Provider daily maintenance, physician aliases, secure e-mail, referral management

  • Bedrock wizards

  • Ops jobs, DTA s, Code Sets, Code Values

  • Clinical Reporting XR, distributions, CCDs

  • Experience leading Core application security

  • Experience supporting the various Cerner applications including PowerChart, FirstNet, SurgiNet, PathNet from the Core security perspective

  • Familiarity with Cerner Model; ability to compare current build to Model and make recommendations regarding alignment

  • Managing security tasks during domain refresh and downtime

  • Collaborate in the development and execution of policies and procedures to ensure system security and prevention of unauthorized access to systems and data

  • Experience in working with technical and application team members as well as end users in the design, configuration, testing and support of Cerner solutions

  • Strong troubleshooting skill in resolving Core related issues.

  • Familiarity with hospital operations

  • Ability to communicate well with clinicians

  • Strong understanding of change control process

  • Experience creating and maintain design documents, design decision matrix, data collection worksheets

  • Ability to participate in on-call support rotation

  • Participate in go-lives and downtimes

  • Assist with process development and documentation involving multiple departments and teams internally and external

  • Applicant must possess great Interpersonal and communication skills

  • Applicant must be able to work in a team environment

  • Applicant must be a self-starter

    Technical Knowledge (required)

  • General understanding of:

  • Common technical terminology

  • Network topologies

  • Working knowledge of:

  • MS Desktop products

  • Client/Server applications

  • Common programming languages (like C++ and Java)

  • IT Selection and Implementation Methodology

  • Software design and development best practices

  • Required technical documentation including flowcharts

  • Interpreting vendor technical requirements

  • Relational database concepts

  • Operating Systems (such as AIX, Windows, MAC and Linux)

  • Types of hardware, storage, computing capacity of computers and end user devices

  • Back up processes and disaster recovery

  • Computer security procedures and protocols

  • Report writing tools

    ORGANIZATION: Under the general supervision of a Manager, but may receive advice and assistance from other leaders/managers of Information Systems.
