Benzonia: Vacation Trailer Park was licensed to operate as a campground in June 1968. It was the vision of Robert D. Workman and the design of favorite Uncle Bill Workman and has remained in the family all 50 years. During the time the Park has been in operation, several properties have been added to increase the total number of sites and storage area. A 20 x 40 foot swimming pool was eventually constructed followed by engineering for sewer hookup. As time went by, the number of seasonally rented canoes/kayaks increased as the variety of rental trailers and cabin units. Our customers of four generations are a loyal group of steelhead/salmon fishermen, seasonals and folks who like to come Up North.
