Tawas Point State Park

Tawas Point houses 193 modern campsites on a 183-acre peninsula that juts into Saginaw Bay. Because of the geographical situation and natural beauty, the DNR compares the setting to Cape Cod. Enjoy the 68-mile driving tour or the 2-mile hiking trail. The tall lighthouse is Michigan's best representative of the classic Victorian-style light. Also a great spot for sailing, fishing, and bird watching. Tawas Point Celebration Days is the second weekend of each June, featuring historical displays, lighthouse tours, craft demonstrations, guided hikes, and live music. 989-362-5041, Tawas Point State Park
