The Screener is responsible for greeting and acknowledging all patients, visitors, employees, contractor, and vendors entering the facility, ensuring they are accurately screened and meet the entry criteria.
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent required
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Able to wear protective medical gear to ensure safety
Healthcare experience preferred
Reports to Manager of Safety or designee. May receive input/instructions from onsite leads. Must be self-directed, motivated and able to work independently.

Explains daily safety screenings to visitors, employees and patients.
Utilizes current screening protocol to determine if individual attempting to enter the facility is a visitor, patient or employee.
Utilizes current screening protocol tools to screen every individual.
Determine if entry into the facility is warranted based on screening protocols.
Restricts access to facility for anyone who does not pass the screening process and provides guidance per the established protocol.
Knowledgeable of basic infection prevention including hand hygiene and standard precautions and provides guidance for individuals putting on (donning) and taking off (doffing) masks.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
