Matson's Campground is located on the Big Manistee River between Wellston and Manistee, MI. We offer camping sites from rustic on the river, electric, water and electric and full hookup sites. All sites have a picnic table and fire pit. Our bathhouse is one of the nicest in the camping industry.
We have one and two-bedroom cabins that have a full kitchen and bathroom. Matson's Lodge, newly added in 2012, offers 6 bedrooms and accommodates 10-16 people. We also have two 33ft travel trailers for rent. All units are fully furnished with bedding, towels, TV, air conditioning, picnic table, fire pit, charcoal grill.
Other amenities include a Convenience store, wood, boat rentals, tubing, canoeing/kayaking, and River Guide Service. Enjoy fishing the Big Manistee River for Walleye, Bass and Northern Pike in the Summer, Salmon in August-September, and Steelhead in October thru April. (Courtesy their FB page.)
