According to established policies and procedures, performs duties of a Materials Handler including product receipt, order filling, patient charge tagging, and delivery. Work is routine and is monitored by supervisors.
Unpacks and checks goods received for accuracy, maintains records of receipts, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
Accountable to affix patient charge stickers to product (where needed) correctly to aid in accurate and complete patient billing.
Participates in cycle and year-end physical inventory to verify accuracy and inventory integrity. Rotates stock and notifies Inventory Planner of low stocks and stock outs.
Pulls and fills departmental orders and requisitions. Delivers supplies, equipment and other goods to on-site departments as well as off-site storage facility.
Maintains a working knowledge of the Materials Management computer system.
Responds to all questions, complaints, and requests for information from staff and suppliers within 24hrs, and that all necessary follow-up action is completed satisfactorily in writing, e-mail or by telephone.
Answers the telephone within 3 rings whenever possible and take ownership of the call.
Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
Valid State of Michigan driver's license with excellent driving record necessary. Medical card required per DOT requirements and Chauffer's license in order to drive company vehicles required.
High school graduate or GED
