Harrisville State Park

Boosted from its original six-acre size to the current 107 acres, this park on the sandy shore of Lake Huron contains 195 modern campsites and a rustic cabin. Features include a two-mile hiking trail among dense pine and cedar trees. There's no boat ramp at the park; dogs are allowed on leash. Walking distance to Harrisville and a short drive to the Sturgeon Point Lighthouse. Participate in a sand sculpture contest on the last Saturday of July. 989-724-5126. Harrisville State Park
