Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park

A 92-mile trail, connecting Grand Rapids and Cadillac, makes up the entirety of White Pine Trail State Park. The track was transformed into recreational land after the Grand Rapids and Indiana Railroad stopped running in the '80s, and the DNR took over in 1994. Over 40 miles are currently paved, while the other sections are covered with stones. Popular activities include running, biking, and -- in the winter -- snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
