Energy Power Balls

This recipe comes from Oryana Natural Foods Market in Traverse City. It's a snack that the kids can make on their own and it's simple, delicious, rewarding and energizing!





  • 1 cup nut or seed butter
  • 1 cup oats
  • ½ cup ground flax seed
  • ¼ cup hemp seed
  • ¼ cup honey or agave syrup
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut
  • ¼ cup dried fruit and/or chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon


Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Form into balls, place on large plate and refrigerate or freeze until no longer sticky. Place in a lightly covered container to store. Keeps 2 weeks in a refrigerator or freeze them for longer storage.
