Cary’s Spicy Tomato Juice

Cary Adgate, the most decorated skier in Michigan history, is a hearty believer in a healthy breakfast before he hits the slopes. Here’s his recipe for spicy, invigorating tomato juice. Add a little vodka, celery seed and fresh lime juice to your spicy tomato juice for an adult treat!


  • 1 glass tomato juice
  • 1 teaspoon horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon Claussen dill pickle juice
  • 1 Claussen dill pickle
  • Chef Paul Prudhomme’s Blackened Redfish Magic seasoning blend, add to taste


Stir the horseradish and pickle juice into the tomato juice. Sprinkle with Redfish Magic seasoning. Garnish with the pickle.
