Breaded Morels

Breaded Morel Mushroom Recipe


  • 12 large morels
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter


Choose a dozen or so of the largest morels of the harvest. Slice lengthwise and soak to remove bugs. Drain on paper towel. Dredge in beaten egg, then in flour and salt and pepper. Sauté in butter until golden brown. Eat immediately.
