Branch Customer Service Specialist

First National Bank of America is looking for a candidate to support our physical and online branches out of our Traverse City office. The ideal candidate will be able to combine accuracy and follow-through with excellent customer service skills. Candidates should be able to manage a dynamic workload while operating in a fast-paced environment.

This position will support customers accessing products from multiple channels.

  • Providing support to customers wishing to open, access or use online banking.

  • Answer incoming calls from customers.

  • Comply with all relevant regulations and follow all bank procedures.

  • Support branch deposit production by opening accounts in-branch as needed.

  • Support branch by processing teller transactions as necessary.

  • Support Online Branch as needed.

  • Travel to other Michigan branches as necessary.

  • Other tasks as assigned.

Performance Expectations

  • Respond to all incoming calls and emails from customers within 4 hours.

  • Look for opportunities to improve the process.

  • Courtesy, customer service, and tact are essential elements of the job. Position involves working with customers purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

  • Requires effective communication with customers and/or other employees using common telecommunications equipment and computer equipment. Must be able to read, examine, and organize documents. May require the ability to sit, stand, for extended periods.

  • Qualified candidates will be detail oriented with skills in record maintenance.

  • Detailed knowledge of deposit account opening regulations.

  • Basic computer skills necessary.

  • Position will often be in a busy office environment. The ability to multitask and focus in this environment is essential.
