Annual Giving Manager
The Annual Giving Manager manages and implements all phases of annual giving projects and communications/public relations for the McLaren Northern Michigan Foundation including but not limited to direct mail appeals, newsletters, the annual report, memorials, donor relations and donor recognition for McLaren Northern Michigan, social media and the Foundation website. The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for designing and implementing short- and long-term strategic plans and evaluations for each fundraising activity. This person also acts as a liaison between the Foundation and the business community. This position reports to the Director of Development.
Writes, designs, implements and evaluates an annual giving program that increases revenue, acquires and retains donors. Conducts a thorough cost-analysis and submits evaluation and assessment reports for all appeals. Responsible for preparing and administering annual giving budget to support the strategy; ensuring maximum cost-benefit ratio is achieved.
Develops successful annual giving strategies to build a strong base of annual support by organizing direct mail campaigns, special projects, events, employee appeals and grateful patient programs. Maintains planning calendar for the Foundation.
Writes, prepares, produces and manages Foundation communications including summer and year-end mailings, annual report, newsletters, giving benefits, and patient mailing. Works with Database Manager to provide direction for segmentation of direct mail solicitations. Also manages internal/external communication/public relations tools including Foundation brochures, MNM publications and press releases. This position is also responsible for other writing/graphic design projects as requested.
Designs, implements and manages stewardship program (donor recognition, Friend of the Hospital, physician appreciation party, stewardship reports, etc.). Writes solicitation and acknowledgement letters.
Manages the design, printing, and fulfillment/mailing of annual giving program. Works with external vendors.
Posts daily updates on Facebook and develops and utilizes other social media tools to increase annual giving revenue and event attendance. Provides regular updates to the website team in order to keep the Foundation website current.
Establishes and maintains Annual Giving Policies and Procedures.
Responsible for achieving assigned fundraising targets.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public/Business Administration or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with fundraising, project management.
