February 23 | Play Reading – The Children | Traverse City 

Join Parallel 45 Theatre for a play reading of “The Children,” which follows the story of two retired nuclear scientists living in an isolated cottage by the sea as the world around them crumbles. Together they are going to live forever on yogurt and yoga, until an old friend arrives with a frightening request.

February 23-25 | Art in the Experiences of Anishinaabe, Inuit & Pueblo Women | Traverse City

This Dennos Museum Center exhibition celebrates some of the roles Anishinaabe, Inuit and Pueblo women fulfill in their families, communities and beyond. Rooted in contemporary and historical artworks, this traveling exhibition explores themes like mothering, making, art world success, spirituality and continuity in visual culture across generations. It will be open through May 19.

February 24 | Family Movie Night | Curtis 

Grab your popcorn and join this Upper Peninsula movie night at Erickson Center for the Arts featuring “Snowball Express.” In this Disney film, Johnny Baxter, a New York accountant, inherits a hotel in the Rocky Mountains. So, he quits his job and moves his family to Colorado to take on this new adventure.
