February 17-18 | WinterFest | Roscommon

Join in on the fun at Higgins Lake/Roscommon WinterFest, a two-day celebration held the same weekend as the Michigan DNR’s Free Fishing Weekend. Your badge will get you entry to a pancake breakfast, cardboard sled race, broomball, carnival, chili cook-off and more. Hosted by the Higgins Lake/Roscommon Chamber of Commerce. 

February 17 | John Prine Tribute Concert | Traverse City 

City Opera House welcomes the John Prine Tribute Concert back to the stage. The John Prine Tribute will begin with a solo set by Lansing-based songbird Jen Sygit and will be followed up by a full band set with Mark Lavengood and members of King Possum, Loren Kranz and Eric Engblade. The concert begins at 8 p.m.

February 17-18 | UP Pond Hockey Championship | St Ignace

Labatt Blue and St. Ignace Hockey are excited to once again hold this year’s ultimate pond hockey championship. Stop by the competition to support your favorite teams and see this epic “Battle on the Bay” for yourself, then head to downtown St. Ignace for more winter festivities. 

February 17-18 | Comedy with Jerry Donovan | Traverse City

Get ready to laugh! Traverse City Comedy Club will host Jerry Donovan, a quick-wit comedian known for his clean and uncanny observations.

February 18 | Yeti Fest | Suttons Bay

The best Yeti Fest on this side of the Himalyas? Suttons Bay Yeti Fest, of course! Take your family to downtown Suttons Bay for a full day of fun, including a chili cook-off, scavenger hunt and hockey tournament, all presented by the Suttons Bay Chamber of Commerce.

February 18 | Alpenfrost | Gaylord 

There’s something for everyone at Gaylord’s Alpenfrost! From the Frosty 5K and hot cocoa crawl to a lego competition and soup cook-off, this time-honored festival is packed with family-friendly events throughout the Alpine Village of Gaylord.

February 18 | Wine and Spirits Show | Gaylord

Sip an array of wine, spirits and beer at this tasting event hosted by Otsego Resort. While you enjoy your craft drinks, music will also be provided by Todd Aldrich.
