January 13 | Telling Stories Exhibit | Glen Arbor

Don’t miss this juried art exhibition about the power of visual storytelling at the Glen Arbor Arts Center Main Gallery. The show runs through March 23, and winter hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday noon to 4 p.m.

January 13 | Steve Stargardt, Nancy Stagnitta and Jack Dryden | Williamsburg

The Music House Museum is proud to welcome Steve Stargardt, Nancy Stagnitta and Jack Dryden in concert, featuring songs by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and other selections from The American Songbook.

January 13 | Friday Night Live | Suttons Bay

Shady Lane Cellars is making the most of winter in Suttons Bay with a weekly live music series in its tasting room. Friday Night Live debuts on January 13 from 5:30-8:30 p.m with guest musician Brett Mitchell. Guests are welcome to cozy up by the fire, sip on mulled wine and cocktails, enjoy snacks or warm up with a bowl of soup.

January 14 | Comedy Night with Andy Beningo | Gaylord

Head to Otsego Resort for an unforgettable comedy show by Andy Beningo, an international comedian with over 3,000 career performances worldwide. Beningo has established himself as one of the most in-demand comedians, hailed for his clean and “every man” style.

January 14 | Winter Hike at Maple Bay Natural Area | Grand Traverse County

Enjoy a beautiful winter hike at Maple Bay Natural Area with Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy. Come prepared at 1:30 p.m. with winter gear, water, and a snack. Participants are encouraged to bring snowshoes. The terrain is said to be steep in some places, so be prepared for a moderately strenuous trek.

January 14 | Guided Headlamp Snowshoe Hike | Gaylord

This family-friendly hike at Treetops Resort is not like the others. Hike under the moonlight with headlamps to a beautiful perch overlooking the resort’s redesigned Extreme Tubing Park, and back through to a quaint cafe setting. Roast s’mores, drink hot cocoa and warm up before you head back home! The event starts at 7 p.m.

January 14 | The Friars Winterpalooza | Traverse City 

The well-known a cappella subset of the University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club, The Friars, will perform their “Winterpalooza” show at the City Opera House at 8 p.m. on Saturday. For more than 60 years, The Friars have made their mark with questionable choreography, bad dad jokes, boy-band hits and can’t-miss live performances.

January 14 | Frostbite Trail | Charlevoix, Elk Rapids, Central Lake

Are you ready for Frostbite? For the first time, eight destinations between Charlevoix and Elk Rapids are joining together to bring you a winter food and craft beverage experience. Each business along the Frostbite Trail will pair a small bite with a drink tasting for $10 a person at each location. The trail will run one Saturday a month during the winter, starting from 1-6 p.m. on January 14 with “Comfort Cravings.” 

January 15 | Snow Days Day Pass | Traverse City

Spend a Snow Day with Delamar Traverse City! Locals and travelers alike can warm up and hunker down with the many amenities they offer onsite, such as the indoor and outdoor heated pools, sauna, hot tub, fitness center, snowshoes, fire pits with s’mores and more.
