December 16 | Lake Effect Film Premiere | Traverse City

Local professional skier Mike King will share the hometown debut of his two-year ski film project, “Lake Effect,” at the City Opera House this weekend. Produced and edited by Mike King, “Lake Effect” highlights the joys of backyard adventures and the shifting perspective of a mountain-top skier. Mike’s travel plans came to a halt during the pandemic, so he took this unplanned opportunity to explore the area he grew up in. Throughout the film, he came to realize you don’t need to travel far to have an epic adventure. Doors open at 6 p.m. Find more details about the film here and view the trailer below.
