This magnificent Northern Michigan take on the venerable Cape Cod style was designed by Fred Ball of Frederick Crosley Ball Associates in Harbor Springs and built by East Jordan’s MPN. Known for their impeccable custom woodworking—MPN has an 11,000-square-foot woodworking facility in East Jordan—Chris Miller and his team were the ideal contractors for this home, which is so full of custom woodwork that the only use of drywall is in the above-the-garage apartment ceiling. “I’m a woodworker at heart,” Miller says. “It’s what I grew up doing. Being able to work with homeowners on a project of this magnitude and with this much detail—it’s very gratifying. It’s an absolute masterpiece.”
