August 4-6 | Harbor Days | Elk Rapids

Head to the annual Elk Rapids Harbor Days Festival, also featuring both a car show and arts & crafts fair, all weekend long. The festival will conclude on Saturday with a spectacular fireworks show over East Grand Traverse Bay!

August 4 | Free Sleeping Bear Dunes Entrance! | Glen Arbor, Empire

In celebration of the anniversary of the passing of the Great American Outdoors Act, the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore will be waiving the $25 entrance fee today. Come and enjoy the wonders of the only National Park in lower Michigan.

August 4-8 | Onekama Days | Onekama

The “Two Lake Town” of Onekama near Manistee hosts it’s annual Onekama Days celebration from August 4 to 8, with special food, drinks, entertainment and fireworks.

August 6 | Harrietta Blueberry Festival | Harrietta

This old-fashioned festival is celebrating all things blueberry, including pancakes and sundaes and pies! Kick the day off with the parade starting at 11 a.m. and enjoy children’s games, crafters, bakers and live music by Silver Creek Revival.

August 6-7 | Suttons Bay Art Fair | Suttons Bay

Head just 15 miles north of Traverse City for this annual art fair next to Suttons Bay Marina Park. Explore goods from more than 100 local artists and don’t forget to stop by the library book sale, delicious food vendors and fun children’s area.
