For every purchase you make at participating downtown Traverse City stores during Shop Your Community Day, 15 percent of the sale will be donated to the nonprofit of your choice. There are more than 60 participating merchants which makes it so easy to get a jump on your holiday shopping this month.

Monday, November 15 | Gaylord Opening Day of Shopping
The woods aren’t the only place you can hunt for a “buck.” Gaylord’s Downtown Merchants Association invites you to be their guest as they celebrate the “Opening Day of Shopping” with discounts, gifts and refreshments at participating retailers.

Saturday, November 20 | Traverse City Tree Lighting
This year, Traverse City’s Downtown Tree Lighting and Light Parade will return to its original format on Front Street. The event will feature Santa Claus, carolers, thousands of lights and live music. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with Santa and the Mayor lighting the tree at 6 p.m. and a light parade following at 6:30 p.m.

Friday, November 26 | Santa Parade & Holiday Open House
Set the mood for the holidays at the Boyne City Santa Parade and Holiday Open House. Festive streets and a tree lighting ceremony mark the start of a special season. Shop and celebrate around town and then join Santa at 6 p.m. as he makes his way to the tree lighting in Old City Park.
Friday, November 26 | Charlevoix Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting
Join your friends and family at the Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. in downtown Charlevoix. Shop, enjoy the lights and get into the holiday spirit!
Saturday, November 27 | Holly Berry Arts & Crafts Fair
Visit the 27th Annual Holly Berry Arts & Crafts Fair to find gifts for everyone on your list. Held at Frankfort High School from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., this event features horse-drawn wagon rides from 10 a.m. to noon and a tree lighting afterward at Rotary Park.
