Animal lovers, you may know Amanda Giese, the founder and director of Panda Paws Rescue. The nonprofit specializes in taking care of animals with major medical or special needs, and Amanda also has a television show, “Amanda To The Rescue,” on Animal Planet. Join Panda Paws and Cherryland Humane Society at Bonobo Winery in Traverse City for a benefit event and meet and greet on Friday, September 17.

I am beyond thrilled to team up with Cherryland Humane Society for this fundraising event at Bonobo Winery. The work that Cherryland Humane Society does for the animals in Grand Traverse County, the community, the youth and fellow animal-loving residents is truly nothing short of remarkable. To use Panda Paws Rescue and my celebrity platform to showcase their hard work makes my heart grow three sizes!
What are some highlights?
This is a very unique fun-filled, three-day event! The main event, of course, being at Bonobo Winery where we will all get to mingle, sip and celebrate Panda Paws Rescue & Cherryland Human Society’s massive efforts in animal welfare. Prior to that, we will have a very small gathering with our contributors in our Standard Poodle and Dogue De Bordeaux tier levels at an upscale restaurant in the heart of Traverse City. Concluding the weekend on our final day our contributors in the Golden Retriever and Diamond Collar Tier, Dogue De Bordeaux, will join me on an afternoon sailing on Grand Traverse Bay where we will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and sip on a cocktail of choice. I envision a lot of laughter, genuine new connections made and memories to cherish!

Panda Paws Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue focusing on major medical, special needs and hospice animals. Our whole worlds revolve around taking in the extreme cases not many are equipped for. Often Panda Paws Rescue is their last hope and we are fortunate to work with so many specialists across the country that with their expertise and my longevity of experience, our survival success rate is 99 percent. With my platform from both Panda Paws Rescue’s global recognition and after releasing our television show, I want to use my voice to uplift other incredible animal welfare organizations going above and beyond for their community.
Panda Paws Rescue has saved over 7,000 really unique cases since our beginning and we have helped pioneer veterinary medicine over the past decade. We have taken a lot of leaps of faith, but from that, the veterinary world has grown leaps and bounds ensuring many more lives have been saved.
