In Birding 101 at North Central Michigan College, learn the basics, such as optics, field guides, birding technology, predicting migratory flights using weather and radar, attracting birds to your yard and how to find and identify birds during a four-session workshop.

Wine & Shine – Summer Wine Walk // May 8 & 22

Enjoy a leisurely walk along a scenic trail while sampling wine from three tasting stations paired with light food fare. Check in will be at noon at Otsego Resort.

Mesick Mushroom Festival 5K Glow Run/Walk // May 8

The Mesick Mushroom Festival 5k Glow Run/Walk takes participants along the beautiful Manistee River and scenic trails, where you may even find morels to pick throughout the course! The festival runs May 7-9 with additional activities.

Leelanau Montessori Evening of Art 2021 // May 15

Leelanau Montessori Forever Foundation is hosting our 2021 Annual Evening of Art Event. This year our event will be held virtually. We will offer tickets including a delicious meal offered by the VI Grill for $50. Those who live too far to enjoy the food can purchase a ticket for $25 to bid in the auction. Auction will include some wonderful items and experiences and children’ collaborative art pieces. The students of Leelanau Montessori will be showcasing collaborative pieces available for auction online. Each classroom will have a collaborative piece. Supporting the children’s art will support the school.
