Farm Club has become a welcome escape to country living simplicity, dressed up at a clean and contemporary Leelanau County haven. Already a massive undertaking, and a project born in 2020 amidst a pandemic, all the elements of Farm Club—the location, the food, the drinks and the service—feel nearly effortless. This collaboration between Allison and Gary Jonas of Traverse City’s Little Fleet and Sara and Nic Thiesen of Leelanau’s Loma Farms was a tall order executed with class.

As the cold weather settles in to stay for a while, Farm Club is the place to be this winter.

Ski Up to Beers by the Fire

The Leelanau Trail crosses right by Farm Club, and the connector path allows you to take a quick break from your cross-country skiing and grab a spot by a fire pit for a beer and some Nordic-esque nourishment. Fuel up and head back out on the trail.

Find Local Ingredients for Dinner

At the marketplace, you’ll find fresh ingredients to make dinner for the whole family, or pick up some grab-and-go options to make it easy. They even have pizza dough ready to roll out and bake. Don’t forget some drinks to go.

Pick Up a Book from a Local Author

Winter is when we all (at least attempt to) read more. Let the Farm Club minds curate your reading pleasure. Pick up books by local authors, including area guides, arts & culture quarterlies, cookbooks, kids books, poetry and more.

Take the Kids and Kick Back

With a snowy open field right next to all the outdoor seating and fire pits, the kids will love to run around and play in the white stuff while you relax with food and drinks by the fire.

Get Social at a Distance with Special Outdoor Events

Warm-up your soul with community and hot food. Farm Club hosts special events that are a perfect excuse to see people safely and eat great food. On Saturdays, check out the winter farmers market, and try one of the delicious breakfast sandwiches and locally roasted coffee. Also, watch for Farm Club’s special stew days, when you can get a bowl of fresh hot soup and sit out by the fire enjoying all the cozy comforts of outdoor life.
