The 45 North Vineyard Trail is a 3-mile all-seasons recreational trail through a scenic vineyard that you can explore on skis, by bike or on foot. The trail is free to use during business hours with terrain covering everything from gentle slopes to uphill climbs. The complete trail is a 3-mile loop with shortcuts along the way if you’re looking for a lighter excursion.
Black Star Farms’ Snowshoes, Vines, & Wines // Suttons Bay
Experience Black Star Farms Suttons Bay in its winter splendor! Explore easy to moderate trails, then warm up with a glass of mulled wine on the Terrace Patio. The Hearth & Vine Café will be offering hot food for you to enjoy after your hard work. This is your chance to take in the woods, orchards and vineyards on the iconic estate. This fun event is offered Saturdays through winter beginning December 26.
Brys Estate Vineyard & Winery // Traverse City
Snowshoe, cross-country ski or hike the best of Brys Estate’s 111 acres this winter. The two winter trail options boast beautiful views of a quiet vineyard, resting lavender fields and snowy, wooded valleys. Keep warm with an insulated mug of spiked hot apple cider or a glass of wine while you enjoy the trail, or enjoy it post-exercise at one of the cozy fire pits in the snowy open space.
Otsego Resort // Gaylord
Otsego Resort is offering several Winter Wine Walks in 2021. This wonderful outdoor event features a beautiful winter walk on a snowshoe path from the historic River Cabin to the beaver dam where a roaring bonfire awaits. Experience three different wine tasting stations along the scenic hike along with some light food fare. Check-in for each event will be outside of the river cabin at noon. You can choose to walk or snowshoe. Rentals are available—must call to make arrangements prior to the event and please pick up rentals prior to check in.
Rove Estate // Traverse City
Rove Estate is welcoming adults and kids of all ages. Tucked far off the road and surrounded by wide open green spaces, the estate features outdoor games, firepits and a hiking/snowshoeing trail loop guiding you to the highest point in Leelanau County.
The Brew Bus Snowshoe, Wine & Brew // Traverse City
Bring your own snowshoes (or call ahead to rent a pair for the day) to snowshoe the Old Mission Peninsula. Park at Jolly Pumpkin to board the TC Brew Bus, which will transport you to Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery. From there, you will follow a flagged snowshoe trail across Old Mission Peninsula to Bowers Harbor Vineyards, then snowshoe back to where you parked at Jolly Pumpkin. This event takes place each Sunday throughout the winter. Tickets are $28 per person and include shuttle service and select drinks.
