Support Northern Michigan businesses and get a head start on your holiday shopping at these “Shop Your Community” events.

Shop Your Community Days // Traverse City // Nov. 12–14

For every purchase you make at participating stores, 5% of the sale will be donated to the nonprofit organization of your choice. Giving back, shopping locally—yes!

Ladies Weekend Out // Harbor Springs // Nov. 12–15

Enjoy special pricing at downtown shops and restaurants. Get your passport at any of the 49 participating businesses. Upon making a purchase, get your passport initialed. Turn in your passport to the Harbor Springs Chamber dropbox to be entered into drawings for goods from participating shops.

Deer Hunter Widows Shopping Weekend // Ludington // Nov. 13–14

There will be giveaways, snacks, sales, music, late-night shopping and more at participating businesses.

Suttons Bay Friends & Family Event // Suttons Bay // Nov. 21

The downtown businesses want to show their appreciation for your patience and support during these unprecedented times. It was critical to their survival. Now they’d like to celebrate YOU by offering storewide sales and specials. This event is also a chance to support local families with donations to Leelanau Christian Neighbors. During the Friends & Family Event, designated boxes will be available at participating stores. LCN is in urgent need of personal care products, women’s hygiene products, honey, maple syrup and spices. Letters to Santa kits will also be handed out to kids since they won’t be able to sit on Santa’s lap this year. A mailbox is stationed outside Bahles during the holiday season, for children to ‘mail’ them and then await a personal response from Santa’s workshop.

Small Business Saturday // Nov. 28

Always held the Saturday after Thanksgiving. While you can shop locally every day of the year, Small Businesses Saturday is another reminder that Northern Michigan businesses need our support.
