A new Northern Michigan wine event will let guests visit Leelanau wineries throughout the entire month of September instead of hosting everyone on a single day or weekend.

Experience the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail like a Wine Club member during Harvest Days. All September long, ticket holders will receive Wine Club benefits at each participating winery, which may include complimentary tastings/flights for the ticket holder, deeper discounts on purchases, special release wines, priority seating and reserved areas, plus more.

Tickets cost $35 per person and are good for one visit to each of the 25 participating wineries from September 1–30, all featuring fun exclusive benefits curated for Wine Club members. Note, please be sure to check the hours and safety policies of each winery you’re attending.

Rick DeBlasio, general manager of Shady Lane Cellars, tells us a little more about the new Northern Michigan wine event Harvest Days.

How does this new event differ from other Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail events?

I think Harvest Days represents the evolution of our wine trail events and, especially given the current COVID-19 operating environment, creates a meaningful way for guests to visit while remaining safe for ticket holders and winery teams alike. Spread out over the entire month of September, Harvest Days creates the opportunity to visit all 27 wineries along the Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail. The promotion allows those ticket holders to receive Wine Club member benefits for one visit at each of those participating wineries, which are often the most exclusive benefits and experiences offered to guests. This offers a more engaging way to experience our dynamic wineries than the turnstile events we have often run in the past.

What can guests can look forward to?

Wine Club members represent some of the most important guests for wineries. They are often the most loyal and are great brand ambassadors. This event opens a corridor into that experience for the ticket holder. Member benefits will vary at each winery so each experience should have a unique quality to it and generate a reason to visit each and every winery over the course of the month. Those benefits often include complimentary tastings or flights, deeper discounts on purchases and sometimes they may even include priority access and exclusive wine releases.
