Good friends, a great view and some incredible live music await you during The Homestead’s 2020 Music on the Mountain Summer Concert Series in Glen Arbor.

Northern Michigan’s award-winning singer/songwriter Brett Mitchell is kicking off the music series on August 5. Brett has three original albums under his belt (plus a new one on the way) and a huge repertoire of covers performed with his own folk-rock/pop-rock spin.

“He’s lyrically influenced by John Lennon, Jeff Tweedy, Ben Folds and Neil Young. Musically, you’ll hear hints of Jeff Lynne, Elvis Costello, Weezer and Wilco. He’s a drummer turned guitarist turned singer-songwriter,” writes Kristi Kates in the Northern Express.

The outdoor concert will be held atop the mountain at The Homestead. Transportation via chairlift or six-passenger golf cart begins at 6 p.m. There will also be a cash bar. No coolers, please. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in Mountain Flowers Lodge.
