The 16th Annual Lobster Fest Fundraiser at the Grand Traverse Lighthouse in Northport will be held on Saturday, August 14 from 5–8 p.m. (in-person and takeout options).

Dinner options include fresh Maine lobster or filet mignon. Plus boiled redskin potatoes, corn on the cob, rolls, coleslaw, a cherry dessert, coffee, lemonade, beer and wine. Two seatings are set for 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Takeout/curbside service is at 5:45 p.m. Tickets cost $75, and there are only 200 tickets available.

There will also be a silent auction.

All proceeds benefit the continued restoration and preservation of the historic Grand Traverse Lighthouse. The lighthouse is on the State and National Historic Register. Grand Traverse Lighthouse Beacon Road Rally // September 25

This family-friendly scavenger hunt around Leelanau County will include 12-15 mystery spots in Suttons Bay, Lake Leelanau and Northport. Each team will have to decipher clues which will lead them to a mystery spot to collect something or do something with photo proof. There will also be bonus point options available. A rally packet will be provided on that day. This mystery tour may take you to historic sites, parks, wineries, breweries and other fun places around the area. You have from noon to 4:30 p.m. to complete the scavenger hunt and return to Northport for the celebration finish line and the final point count. Prizes will be awarded to the top five teams. All proceeds will benefit the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum US Coast Guard boat restoration which will be used for school programming to find local shipwrecks.
