Chateau Chantal Winery and Inn on Old Mission Peninsula just completed a month of contributions to local organizations providing COVID-19 related relief via a donation of 15% of their online sales during April. The Northern Michigan winery provided $6,567 worth of contributions to the following organizations:

As a business, Chateau Chantal has been shuttered for wine tastings and overnight stays since the beginning of the Executive Order. Like other wineries, the company experienced an uptick in online orders. “Giving back to our community has always been a piece of our fabric. We wanted to identify and work with organizations that were providing critical relief to our fellow hospitality industry workers, the medical community and those needing at-home services. We’re very proud to have been able to help in a small way during this time,” says CEO Marie-Chantal Dalese.

Chateau Chantal has been hosting virtual tastings, cooking classes and encouraging their guests to order products online and in Michigan grocery stores. With a stay safe plan in place, the company’s team looks forward to opening to guests again when allowed.

In the meantime, they will be open for take-out orders Saturdays in May from 12–5 p.m. Guests can order online ahead of time for contactless delivery (shop.chateauchantal.com), or stop by the outdoor gazebo for to-go service. The winery has also made their own hand sanitizer for staff use and will be applying all relevant CDC safety recommendations. Come on out for a beautiful drive on Old Mission Peninsula!
